About Matthew Nelson, DDS
Dr. Matthew Nelson comes from a long line of Dentists; he is the fifth person in his family to graduate from dental school. He grew up in Seattle, Washington and attended the University of Washington as an undergraduate. After only 3 years of undergraduate work, he was accepted to the Medical College of Virginia at VCU for Dental School. While in dental school, Dr. Nelson made it a point to bring the latest techniques to him and his peers. He started the first ever Cosmetic Dentistry Group at the school and used this to bring in progressive clinicians to speak at the school. Dr. Nelson loves staying up to date on the latest techniques in the dental field. He has always been a strong believer in using continuing education to ensure that he provides his patients the highest quality care. He has taken more than double the yearly required amount of continuing education classes. His primary focuses have been cosmetic techniques, minimally invasive preventative dentistry, and ways to minimize patient discomfort.
