About Margaret A. Weiss, MD
Margaret Weiss, M.D. attended Princeton University, earning her bachelor’s and medical degrees at Johns Hopkins. After her dermatology residency at Johns Hopkins, she served as an assistant professor in dermatology there for thirty years. She is currently a volunteer clinical assistant professor of dermatology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. In 2016, she was elected to the Board of Directors of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. Board-certified, she is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and a member of the American College of Phlebology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the Women’s Dermatologic Society and the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery. She is a past president of the Maryland Dermatologic Society. Dr. Weiss lectures often, conducts clinical trials and has over thirty publications including a textbook on leg vein treatment. Dr. Weiss practices in Baltimore, Maryland, where she and her husband Robert Weiss, M.D. established the Maryland Dermatology, Laser, Skin & Vein Institute. Her professional interests include sclerotherapy, cosmetic dermatology, and laser surgery.
