About Lisa D. Hisaw, MD
Lisa Hisaw honored to be working at Kaiser Permanente and taking care of patients in the East Bay. I am a Bay Area native, growing up in Fremont. I completed my undergraduate studies at Stanford University, medical school at University of California Irvine School of Medicine, and dermatology residency training at the University of California Los Angeles. Before my residency in dermatology, I completed a one-year internship at Kaiser Permanente Santa Clara. It was during this time that I saw first-hand how Kaiser Permanente’s integrated health care system provides excellent patient care. I particularly appreciate the focus on promoting wellness, preventative medicine, and communication between patients and medical providers. I enjoy being a dermatologist because I am able to care for a wide variety of skin diseases, diagnose and treat skin cancers, and perform other minor procedures in clinic. I love taking care of both adults and children of all backgrounds in my practice and working together with patients to find the right treatments for their skin issues. I can speak conversational Mandarin Chinese and am proficient in medical Spanish. In my free time, I stay active with running, hiking, and yoga. I enjoy cooking, dining at new restaurants, and exploring new places and cultures through travel.
