About Lenny Arias, DDS
I feel very fortunate to be in the profession of dentistry. I tremendously enjoy what I do! My profession allows me to interact with individuals from all walks of life, involves continued learning and education, and encompasses both art and science. The healthcare field is ever evolving, and the positive changes in the field of dentistry are allowing us to provide enhanced patient care. With the assistance of leading-edge technological advances, improved dental materials, and more patient-friendly tools dentistry has become more comfortable for patients, and allows the dental team to deliver excellent and unsurpassed cosmetic results. As procedures have become more comfortable for patients, the common fear of the dentist is going away. While born in El Salvador, Central America, I was raised Houston, Texas. My ethnic background mixed in with the Texan upbringing sure made for an interesting mix during my growing years. I attended the University of Houston for my undergraduate studies in the field of Biology. I graduated form the prestigious University of Texas Dental Branch at the UT Health Science Center in the Houston medical center. Upon my graduation, I proceeded to serve my country, and I commissioned into the United States Air Force. My first assignment was at Bolling Air Force Base in beautiful Washington, DC, where I completed a one year Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency. The residency allowed me for comprehensive and advanced training in all areas of dentistry both didactically and clinically. With that strong training background, I was then assigned to the dental clinic at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base here in beautiful Tucson. I loved my days in the Air Force, and consider it a greatly enriching experience both professionally and personally. I never expected that I would end up staying in the desert southwest for so long, but upon separating from the Air Force in 2008, we decided to stay in Tucson. Tucson definitely grew on me, I love the sunny skies, and beautiful sunsets.
