About Lawrence S. Mintzer, DDS
Dr. Mintzer grew up in a small town in rural New York on the St. Lawrence River. After his graduation from high school, he attended the University of Rochester in New York and Tufts School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. He then served in the US Army in Vietnam and Cambodia before marrying Debbie, a local Detroit girl, with whom he raised his four children. Besides spending time with his family, Dr. Mintzer also enjoys fishing, gardening, and reading in his spare time. In addition to owning his practice since 1976, he has taught at the University of Detroit School of Dentistry. Dr. Mintzer is a member of the American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, Detroit District Dental Society, and the Alpha Omega dental fraternity.
