About Kyle D. Bickel
Dr. Bickel remains active in Surgical Treatment of Upper Extremity problems, Teaching, and Research. He is on the Clinical Faculty of the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine. He also remains a member of the teaching faculty for AO North America, helping to instruct other surgeons, residents, and fellows in the principles of fracture management in the upper extremities.Dr. Bickel has been active for over 25 years in charitable medical missions to developing countries, providing medical and surgical treatment to their populations and helping to educate their health professionals. These missions have included projects in Peru, Guyana, Brazil, Jamaica, Vietnam, Myanmar (Burma), and Bolivia. He also worked with The Palestinian Children’s Relief Fund to coordinate charitable medical care in the U.S. for a young refugee child who received surgical and rehabilitation care for traumatic injuries to his hand, wrist, and arm.
