About Kristina M. Collins, MD
Kristina Collins, M.D. is a Board-Certified Dermatologist who specializes in Mohs micrographic surgery and surgical and cosmetic dermatology. Encouraged by her dad as a young child to always follow her dreams, Dr. Collins used to dress up as a doctor when she was a kid and “treat” her stuffed animals. Helping people comes naturally to Dr. Collins and her patients love her for it! Dr. Collins has lectured and presented original research at local, regional and national conferences on topics such as surgery techniques, rare skin disorders and the representation of dermatology in the national media. She has written articles and news stories for ABC and has served as a dermatology expert for video and written news published by ABC News in New York. She currently represents the American Board of Dermatology on the American Family Physician’s Editorial Advisory Board. She is an active member of the Women’s Dermatologic Society and serves on the Young Physicians’ Task Force, Communications Committee and as an invited participant for the Executive Board. She is chairperson of the Editorial Board for the WDS. She is also a member of the Patient Advocacy Committee of the American Academy of Dermatology. She was named Tennessee Woman in Medicine of the Year after co-founding a free medical clinic for the uninsured in the Nashville area. In her free time, Dr. Collins enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her husband and daughter.
