About Kirkland N. Lozada, MD
Dr. Kirkland N. Lozada is a Penn Medicine trained Facial Plastic & Reconstructive surgeon and Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgeon. Dr. Lozada is committed to providing the highest quality aesthetic and reconstructive services for all his patients in Philadelphia and New Jersey. At our office, a personalized treatment plan is essential and we allow sufficient time during consultation to develop a unique understanding of each patient’s desires. Dr. Lozada has trained with the top facial plastic surgeons in Philadelphia, New York, and New Jersey. Dr. Lozada is currently a member of the American Academy of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery and has numerous publications and presentations in the field of facial plastic surgery. Born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, Dr. Lozada is a second generation plastic surgeon. His father, Dr. Guido Lozada, grew a very successful aesthetics practice in Honolulu where he invented the mini-cut (1.5cm) method of breast augmentation. His father’s emphasis on high quality results with minimal downtown are core principles of Dr. Lozada’s practice today. The majority of Dr. Lozada’s education and training has been in the Philadelphia area. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Biology at the University of Pennsylvania while also receiving a minor in music. During this time he worked for 3 years at the University of Pennsylvania Emergency Department as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). He went on to complete medical school at Jefferson Medical College and was inducted in the national AOA honors society, ultimately serving as Vice President during his last year. He completed his residency training in Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery at the New York Eye & Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai where he worked with many world-renowned plastic surgeons. Dr. Lozada returned to Philadelphia for his facial plastic surgery training at the University of Pennsylvania.
