About Kayla Mcniece, MD
Dr. Kayla McNiece, a native of Abilene, TX, earned her medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School at Houston (2014). In 2018, she completed her dermatology residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and became a member of the American Board of Dermatology and a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. Following residency, she fulfilled an ACMS accredited, highly competitive surgical fellowship for Mohs micrographic surgery and reconstruction at Skin Care Physicians of Georgia. Dr. McNiece has performed over 1300 Mohs surgical cases for difficult and recurrent skin cancers. Although she specializes in dermatologic surgery, she also has expertise in general dermatology and facial aesthetics. Dr. McNiece is the author or co-author of articles published in national journals and textbooks and has presented at national and international meetings. Her professional interests include skin cancer, facial reconstruction, topical dermatology, and complex medical dermatology. Her belief in professional and patient education inspires her to lecture medical students, residents, and non-dermatologists on numerous skin conditions. She has a strong, unwavering commitment for excellence and superior care for each patient every day. Outside the office she loves traveling, fitness, her family, and her rescue pets (cat--Chaplin and dog--Thor).
