About Jusleen Ahluwalia, MD
Jusleen Ahluwalia, MD who has been practicing dermatology in San Diego since 2017, was born and raised in New Jersey and pursued her medical school education through the accelerated BA/MD program at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School (UMDNJ) in New Jersey, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. After completing a preliminary medicine year at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York, Dr. Ahluwalia came to San Diego in 2016 to train as a pediatric and adolescent dermatology research fellow at the Rady Children’s Hospital, where she conducted clinical trials on atopic dermatitis (eczema), acne, psoriasis, and vascular growths. She completed her residency training in dermatology at UC San Diego. Dr. Ahluwalia has authored numerous scientific papers and lectures nationally about her work in dermatology. Dr. Ahluwalia specializes in medical, pediatric, surgical and cosmetic dermatology. Her current memberships include the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the American Academy of Dermatology, and she serves on the Board of Directors for the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery. Outside of work, Dr. Ahluwalia enjoys swimming, hiking, and visiting the San Diego Zoo.
