About Julie C. Ciucias, Aesthetician Specialist
Julie C. Ciucias received her B.S. in Physical Therapy from the University of Connecticut in 1978 and M.B.A. with a concentration in marketing from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1992. She practiced as a clinical physical therapist and rehabilitation manager from 1978 to 2003, having extensive training and experience in rehabilitation, sports medicine, work-related injuries, manual therapy, orthopedics, geriatrics, and home health care. Seeking a change in practice environment and focus, Julie became a certified aesthetician, reflexology and Reiki III practitioner. Since 2004, Julie has practiced in West Hartford, Marlborough, and her home-based office in East Hampton. Julie has been trained by leading professionals from across the country, as well as England, Australia, and France and has also received training in Germany at the world renowned Biodroga Bioscience Institut in Baden-Baden. Julie uses a variety of manual and energy techniques including craniosacral, myofascial release, lymph drainage, stones, crystals and botanically based products to assist in healing, restoring and rejuvenating her clients. She has had numerous training and public-speaking engagements on a variety of topics including back care, exercise, proper lifting techniques, skin care, reflexology, the power of touch and many others. She was a co-founder of the Back School at Middlesex Hospital, a program designed to evaluate, treat and prevent workplace injuries. In addition, she co-founded the Customer Service Program at New England Home Care, where she trained over 1,200 employees in internal and external customer service. Continuing her desire to expand her knowledge of healing techniques, in 2012, Julie received her Hypnotherapy and Medical and Dental Hypnotherapy Specialist Certifications from the Institute of Hypnotherapy in Edison, NJ.
