About Joshua Davis, DDS
Dr. Davis hails from Chappaqua, NY, and focuses his practice in sleep, restorative, and family dentistry. He graduated from Cornell University with a degree in Biology in 2007 and went on to graduate from the NYU College of Dentistry in 2011. He continued his education with a General Practice Residency at Weill Cornell Medical Center, which was completed in 2012. After years of honing his skills working in private practice, Dr. Davis opened Metro Dental in Tuckahoe in 2017. Known for his approachable personality, gentle touch, and attention to detail, Dr. Davis ensures that all of his patients have a relaxed and comfortable experience receiving quality care. He is experienced in all aspects of dentistry, including implants, crowns, surgery, tooth-colored fillings, and pain-free root canals. He also works on children of all ages, instilling habits to ensure a lifetime of lasting oral health. Dr. Davis is also passionate about dental sleep medicine, which focuses on the use of oral appliance therapy to treat sleep-disordered breathing, such as snoring and obstructive sleep apnea. Having seen the need for this treatment in many of his patients, Dr. Davis has devoted a lot of his time and education to help his patients achieve healthy sleep. Patients who benefit from oral appliance therapy report increased mood, energy, and overall quality of life. Dr. Davis is currently studying on the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine’s (AADSM) Master’s Track, and in January 2020 he will be the only diplomate of the AADSM in Westchester County. Dr. Davis is also an Assistant Professor of Clinical Surgery in the division of Dentistry, Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Weill Cornell Medical Center where he specializes in treating patients with complex medical conditions relating to infectious diseases. Dr. Davis is proudly featured in the 2019 Top Dentists in Westchester magazine, demonstrating his commitment to his work and his patients. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, New York Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, and the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. In his free time, Dr. Davis loves live entertainment, especially theater and concerts. He enjoys hiking, cycling, and is an active yogi. He lives in New York City with his 16-year-old cat, Sadie.
