About Joseph N. Tregaskes, D.M.D
Dr. Tregaskes is a board-certified craniofacial pain specialist, which means he has the training and experience necessary to diagnose and treat temporomandibular joint disorders (TMD), as well as head, neck and facial pain patients. He is also board certified in dental sleep medicine and maintains the ability to properly treat patients suffering from sleep apnea. Snoring and sleep apnea can often be conservatively treated with a dental appliance once a diagnosis is determined. Together with sleep specialists, Dr. Tregaskes helps treat sleep breathing disorders in his patients. Dr. Tregaskes earned his dental degree in 1971 from the University of Pittsburgh. Following dental school, he did a rotating internship in the U.S. Military and then completed a residency in prosthodontics at Marquette University. As a board certified prosthodontist, Dr. Tregaskes is trained to accommodate the special functional and esthetic requirements involved with implant rehabilitation and complicated restoration problems.
