About Joseph B. O'Connell, MD
Dr. Joseph O'Connell is a plastic surgeon who has been certified by both the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery. His practice, which has been in continuous operation in Fairfield County since 1988, is dedicated entirely to aesthetic surgery. He is a graduate of Cornell University Medical College and he performed his plastic surgery training at the prestigious New York Hospital/Cornell Medical Center. Dr. O'Connell is at the forefront of the latest techniques for facial rejuvenation, body contouring and aesthetic breast surgery and our practice has made a significant commitment and investment in the latest non-invasive techniques and technologies. At Total Aesthetics we carefully evaluate and employ recent developments in aesthetic surgery and we combine them with time-proven techniques to optimize our patients' results. We strive to minimize the recovery period, as we understand how difficult it is for our patients to miss more than one week from their professional and social schedules. Dr. O'Connell believes that aesthetic surgery should be subtle and we strive for a natural, rested, non-surgical look. Our preference is to employ techniques that are less complex, less invasive and more predictable. During your consultation we will review your aesthetic goals, perform a careful examination, and review of your overall health history. We will discuss in great detail the various surgical and non-surgical options, along with their potential benefits and risks, and formulate an individualized plan designed to address your unique goals. Since 2008, we are a ""platinum level"" BOTOX® / Juvederm® / Natrelle® provider. Dr. O'Connell believes that the results achieved with BOTOX and injectable fillers are greatly dependent upon the training, experience and skill of the person performing the injection. Because of this, at Total Aesthetics, all BOTOX, Dysport® and injectable fillers are personally injected by Dr. O'Connell.
