About Joseph Dastrup, DDS
Joseph Dastrup, DDS, is a highly skilled and compassionate dentist who improves and maintains his patients’ smiles at Dastrup Dental in Davidson, North Carolina. Dr. Dastrup earned his dental degree from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry in Baltimore before training at the Baltimore Veterans Affairs Hospital in a highly competitive surgical and comprehensive dental residency program. During his residency, Dr. Dastrup managed patients with advanced medical histories and trained in surgical implant placements, bone grafting procedures, extractions, root canals, and the treatment and restoration of complicated dental conditions. Dr. Dastrup is committed to continuing his education and training in order to stay at the forefront of cosmetic, aesthetic, and restorative dentistry. He actively participates in a number of monthly study clubs and attends various courses and training sessions on a yearly basis. In addition to his deep knowledge of oral health, he also maintains his expertise in the systemic diseases that are linked to dental health, such as diabetes, stroke, and heart disease. Dr. Dastrup believes in treating the patient as a whole person, including them in the decision-making process for the treatment plan, and providing them with a range of treatment options to choose from. He is passionate about educating his patients in oral health, and receives great joy in instilling hope and confidence in patients who may have previously experienced dental anxiety.
