About Josep Genebriera, MD

Josep Genebriera, M.D. joined the staff of North Florida Dermatology Associates, P.A. in August of 2011. He was raised in Barcelona, Spain and studied at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and the University of Wales (UK) as well the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona, where he was awarded his medical degree. He completed his internship at the Jefferson Health System in Philadelphia and dermatology residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. Dr. Genebriera is the author of multiple scientific papers and book chapters on dermatology, and has presented his research at national and international conferences. He has conducted research at Boston University and was awarded research fellowships at the University of Alabama in Birmingham and Mayo clinic in Rochester, MN (Smith-Gibson research fellowship). Because of his interest in skin care, Dr. Genebriera has expanded his knowledge to the development of skin care products. He also specializes in general dermatology and skin cancer, cosmetic dermatology including laser treatments, injectables, non-surgical rhinoplasty and dermatologic surgical procedures. He is a member of the American Medical Association, American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, American Society of Mohs Surgery and American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Genebriera is fluent in English, Catalan and Spanish.
