About John W. Shuck, MD
Dr. John W. Shuck is an experienced, board-certified plastic, cosmetic, and reconstructive surgeon in Houston, TX who specializes in procedures for the face, breasts, and body. Dr. Shuck has an impressive background and graduated from Johns Hopkins and Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, and completed his residency at Georgetown University. Following his residency, Dr. Shuck completed a fellowship at the renowned MD Anderson Cancer Center. Dr. Shuck is well-known in the industry and has published 19 peer-reviewed manuscripts in several distinguished medical journals. Outside of the hospital, Dr. Shuck teaches as an adjunct professor at Texas A&M College of Medicine and serves as a mentor for residents and fellows. One of the best parts of Dr. Shuck’s job is helping and seeing his patients thrive in the community after they work with him. He is inspired by his patients and loves that plastic surgery is “artistic, technically demanding, and the broadest of specialties.” When he’s not at the hospital helping patients, Dr. Shuck enjoys teaching, mentoring new students, speaking at invited lectures, and working on new research projects. Currently, he is researching the use of a Da Vinci robot to help with microsurgery reconstructive procedures.
