About John M. Pinnix, DMD
John M Pinnix IV, DMD, FAGD is a general, reconstructive, and cosmetic dentist dedicated to providing the highest quality of care for his patients. He is passionate about improving his patient’s quality of life by creating healthy, attractive, natural looking smiles. His clinical interests include Cosmetic Dentistry, Complex Dental Rehabilitation, Restorative Dentistry, TMJ therapy, and Dental Sleep Medicine. He is known for his high standard of excellence and down-to-earth, compassionate personality. Dr. Pinnix is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD). The AGD Fellowship Award is presented to dentists who seek to provide the highest quality dental care by remaining current in their profession. To earn this prestigious honor, Dr. Pinnix completed 500 hours of dental continuing education, passed a comprehensive written exam, and fulfilled three years of continuous membership in the AGD. Dr. Pinnix is also an Accreditation Candidate with the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry; the only dentist in Charlotte to hold such status. He was recently honored by being named a Top Dentist by Charlotte Magazine. Dr. Pinnix is dedicated to the benefits of continuing education in dentistry and strives to stay on the leading edge of advances in dental sciences. In 2011, he began attending the Spear Education Center, a world-class post graduate education facility in Scottsdale, AZ that focuses on comprehensive dental care. He currently serves as Spear Faculty Club Member and local Spear Study Club Leader. Dr. Pinnix has achieved the honor of Fellowship Status with the Academy of General Dentistry and is actively working on Accreditation Status with the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He has over 500 hours of continuing education over the past 4 years. Dr. Pinnix has attended seminars and workshops with Pete Dawson, John Kois, Frank Spear, and John Cranham. He is currently being mentored by some of the leading restorative and cosmetic dentists in the world at The Spear Education Facility in Scottsdale, AZ.
