About Jocelyn C. Thein, MD
I came to California for medical school at the University of California at San Francisco and fell in love with the San Francisco Bay area. My childhood in Virginia and subsequent college years in Boston were wonderful experiences, but when I moved to California, I knew this is where I wanted to call home. Medicine seems to be in my genes as my father is a retired anesthesiologist and my mother is a family practice physician. Throughout my training, I was drawn to dermatology patients as I grew up with atopic dermatitis and understand the difficulties of living with a skin condition. I love practicing medical dermatology but also enjoy working at the cosmetic clinic in the Union City Medical Offices. As your doctor, I would like us to work as a team to maximize your health and quality of life. I am always happy to answer any questions and to be a partner in your goals of leading a healthy, happy life, and most importantly, to thrive.
