About Jessica E. Liggett, MD
Dr. Jessica E. Liggett, MD, FAAD graduated at the top of her class at Wayne State University School of Medicine. Her dermatology residency training was completed at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, where she received the C.S. Livingood Dermatology Award as the highest-ranked resident in her graduating class. In 2010, Dr. Liggett became Board Certified in Dermatology. After residency she stayed on as faculty at Henry Ford Hospital where she practiced general and inpatient dermatology and served as a clinical lecturer and supervising staff for residents in training. Dr. Liggett then completed a dermatopathology fellowship at the University of Colorado in Denver, under the instruction of Drs. James Fitzpatrick, MD and Loren Golitz, MD, where she was trained in advanced immunohistochemical analysis of skin biopsies, including direct immunofluorescence techniques. Dr. Liggett practices dermatopathology and general dermatology, including the treatment of psoriasis, the cutaneous manifestations of connective tissue disorders, autoimmune bullous diseases, acne, skin cancer and warts, as well as, cosmetic dermatology. Dr. Liggett, her husband, Ben, and two kids recently moved back to the Kalamazoo area. Both Dr. Liggett and her husband grew up in Southwest Michigan and are graduates of Mattawan High School. Her interests include golf, running, fishing, baking, and entertaining.
