About Jessica Gjede, MD
Dr. Gjede grew up in a small town north of New York City, and is a graduate of Hofstra University with a B.S. in Biochemistry. She obtained her medical degree from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine in Farmington, CT. She then completed an internship year in internal medicine at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA, followed by a dermatology residency at Boston Medical Center in Boston, MA. She served as chief resident during her final year of training. Dr. Gjede’s special interests in dermatology include: management of acne in adolescents and adults, skin cancer prevention and treatment, dermatologic surgery, and cosmetic dermatology, specifically involving Botox and filler injections. Dr. Gjede is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, and is also a member of the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, as well as the Women’s Dermatologic Society. Dr. Gjede lives in Avon, CT with her husband, two children, and Old English bulldog. Her hobbies include spending time with her family and cheering on the UConn Huskies basketball teams.
