About Jerry O’Dwyer, DDS
It’s a privilege to have spent the last 20 years caring for the dental health and smiles of my friends and neighbors. There are not many professions where a person becomes an integral part of their patient’s life: I love watching patients’ families grow and change, seeing their children mature and bring their children to me, and celebrating special occasions with them. I am honored to be able to care for one of a person’s most important assets: their dental health. Not only does a healthy mouth lead to a healthier body, but a healthy smile means a person feels better about their appearance. As a dentist, whether I’m relieving pain, restoring function, or beautifying a smile, I’m making a positive and lasting difference for that person. I cannot imagine a more fulfilling profession. I was awarded my Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) by the University of Maryland Dental School. While that education provided me with an exceptional fundamental understanding of dentistry, this is a rapidly changing field. Developments in techniques, materials, and technology are constant; in order to deliver the highest level of care possible, it’s imperative I remain current on the changes. As a member of the American Dental Association and Connecticut State Dental Association, I am able to take many hours of continuing education each year. Whether I’m attending a conference or lecture, participating in a hands-on demonstration, or reading the latest oral healthcare journals, I’m constantly learning. This ensures my patients have access to the best care possible, meaning the most comfortable, effective, and efficient treatments
