About Jenny C. Hu
Jenny Hu, M.D., M.P.H. is an Associate Professor of Clinical Dermatology and serves as the Chief of the Division of Mohs and Dermatologic Surgery in the Department of Dermatology. She is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon who specializes in Mohs micrographic surgery, an advanced technique of skin cancer surgery that involves the precise surgical removal of cancer cells, immediate in-clinic microscopic examination of the removed tissue by the surgeon, and reconstructive surgery after the cancer cells are entirely removed. She also specializes in cosmetic dermatology procedures, including laser treatments. Dr. Hu received her Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA in combination with a Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) from the UCLA School of Public Health. She continued her training at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA for her Dermatology residency and more advanced Procedural Dermatology fellowship (Mohs micrographic surgery and cosmetic dermatology), in which she completed in 2012. She remained on faculty at UCLA as an Assistant Clinical Professor and one of their Mohs surgeons for six years before joining the USC family in 2018. Dr. Hu is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology, Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, Fellow of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and Fellow of the American College of Mohs Surgery.
