About Jennine K. Huet, DDS
Dr. Jennine Huet, a 1993 graduate of the University of Texas School of Dentistry in Houston, where she currently volunteers as an associate clinical professor part-time. Since graduating dental school, Dr. Huet completed a general practice residency at the Houston VA Medical Center, and strives to finish between 100 and 200 hours of continuing education each year. The state requirement for continuing education is only 12 hours per year. She’s studied at the world-renowned Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education, and has been granted a Fellowship and Mastership at the Academy of General Dentistry, as well as, Fellowship with the International College of Dentists, American College of Dentists and International Congress of Oral Implantologists. Dr. Huet believes in giving back to the community, through service and mentorship. She served in the US Army Reserve for 13 years (as a dental assistant, dental lab tech, and finally, a dentist) and was deployed for both the Gulf War in 1991 and the Bosnian Mission in 1996. Along with her daughter Ariane, who just got accepted to the University of Texas School of Dentistry, Dr. Huet volunteers for the Texas Dental Association’s Missions of Mercy program, providing free care to Texans in need. She’s supported numerous causes throughout the community, including: “In the Pink” (Breast Cancer), MS150 (Multiple Sclerosis), “The Heart Ball” (The American Heart Association), and Signatures Series (local literacy), Interfaith, The Montgomery County Food Bank, and Montgomery County Youth Services. In addition to numerous academic accolades throughout her education, Dr. Huet has also been the recipient of many industry awards. She’s been selected to the Texas Super Dentists list ten years in a row, as well as being named a Top Dentist in both H-Texas Magazine and Houstonia Magazine. In 2015, the Academy of General Dentistry awarded her with the Lifelong Learning and Service Recognition award. Dr. Huet has resided in The Woodlands for over twenty five years. She and her husband, Alan, have two children, Marc and Annie. When she’s not making you smile, or volunteering in the community, you can find her relaxing on the water, either boating, scuba diving, or riding a wave runner.
