About Jeffrey Scull, DDS
There’s no need to read between any lines when Dr. Jeffrey Scull speaks about Cromwell Dental’s goals. His mission — and passion — is clear. “What’s most fulfilling to me is helping our patients like how they look. I want everyone to walk out of here feeling their best...not just about themselves, but their experience here.” That experience is something he’s worked hard to perfect, along with Dr. Robert Breault and the entire Cromwell Dental staff. “Our team is like a family. And that’s how we treat our patients, too. From the moment you walk in our door, we want you to feel at home and completely comfortable. That’s led to many of our patients becoming like family, too — a lot of our patients have been with me for 20, 30 years or more. I’ve treated four generations of some families!” Dr. Scull credits those longstanding relationships to another personal belief: Do what’s best, and what’s right. “I’ve always believed you can never go wrong doing the right thing. Sometimes patients come in asking for one thing, but when you talk to them, you realize something else would actually work better. It’s never about cost or shortcuts or what their friend said they should do...it’s just about what’s going to work best for what they really want.” Those conversations with patients are far more than small talk. They’re an important part of how Dr. Scull goes about his job. “We always put patients’ interests first,” said Dr. Scull. “And you can’t do that until you know exactly what they are.” When he’s not getting to know patients, Dr. Scull can be found getting acquainted with some of the world’s best golf courses. He’s played in Ireland and Scotland, but the course he considers the most picturesque is in his own backyard — on Fisher’s Island, New York. But even after 40 years of dentistry, don’t expect him to retire to a life of leisure anytime soon. “I have no plans to stop,” he says. “Staying active and continuing to challenge myself are still priorities.” They are priorities that have served Dr. Scull and his patients well throughout his career, which began after graduating from The College of the Holy Cross and Georgetown University School of Dentistry. Dr. Scull has also served as the President of the Middlesex County Dental Society, and was a delegate at the Connecticut State Dental Association.
