About Jeffrey P. Cranford, MD
Dr. Cranford is a board-certified Otolaryngologist—Head & Neck Surgeon and fellowship-trained subspecialist in Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery. He has expertise performing cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the nose, eyes, face, and scalp, including hair transplantation. A native of Connecticut, Dr. Cranford attended the University of Connecticut on a full academic merit scholarship, earning a Bachelor of Science degree with distinction in Chemical Engineering. He went on to attend the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, where he received several awards and honors for his academic and clinical achievements, including the Faculty Award for Overall Academic Excellence. His medical school peers identified him as a physician with whom they would entrust the care of a friend or family member by nominating Dr. Cranford to the Gold Humanism Honor Society in his third year. Dr. Cranford completed his residency training in Head & Neck Surgery at the prestigious New York Eye & Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai in New York City where he trained under world-class facial plastic surgeons. In his final year he served as Chief Resident and was awarded both the Austen T. Gray Memorial Scholarship Award for excellence in residency training and the Resident Teaching Award for his role as an educator. During his tenure, he contributed numerous scientific publications and book chapters to the field of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery and was formally recognized for his achievements with the J. Swift Hanley Award for Excellence in Resident Research. Upon completion of his residency training, Dr. Cranford was selected for a highly competitive fellowship in Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery. Under the mentorship of a world-renown facial plastic surgeon, Dr. Cranford further refined his surgical techniques in rhinoplasty, blepharoplasty, face-lifting, and hair restoration surgery.
