About Jeffrey R. Blankshain, DDS
Dr. Blankshain has a life long connection to the Oak Park community, moving to Oak Park at age six, attending Horace Mann School and graduating from Oak Park-River Forest High School in 1972. Four years of undergraduate work at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia resulted in a 1976 graduation with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry. He then attended the University of Illinois College of Dentistry, receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1980. He has practiced in the Oak Park area since September 1980. Dr. Blankshain is a general dentist who practices all aspects of dental care. His practice is centered on assisting his patients in attaining and maintaining the highest possible state of dental health. He is especially interested in Orthodontics and Cosmetic Dentistry and has attended many courses in these areas to keep up with the latest developments and newest treatments. He is a member of the Chicago Dental Society, the Illinois State Dental Society and the American Dental Association. Dr. Blankshain has been married to his wife Diane since 1982. They currently live in Park Ridge with their two children, Chris and Kim, and black lab Riley. When not in the office Dr. Blankshain can usually be found on a nearby soccer field. He is licensed by the United States Soccer Federation as both a coach and a referee and is currently the Goalkeeper Trainer for Park Ridge Premier FC.
