About Janna K. Nunez-Gussman, MD
Dr. Nunez is a native of Groves. She completed her undergraduate studies at Lamar University before going on to medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston Medical School. After graduation from medical school in 1999, Dr. Nunez completed a three-year residency in dermatology at Baylor College of Medicine in 2003. While there she worked with Dr. Collins in his capacity as an attending physician. As a result of their mutual respect for their clinical expertise in dermatology Dr. Nunez accepted a partnership with Dr. Collins in Beaumont. She completed an advanced fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery in 2004 and is a board-certified Mohs surgeon. Her skill in treating complex skin cancers with minimal disfigurement is well-known in the Golden Triangle. Her patients describe her as gentle, caring and compassionate.
