About Janet Vafaie
Dr. Janet Vafaie was born in a small suburb in Ohio and was virtually raised in her father's pediatric clinic. From a young age she learned medicine observing her father's sincerity, hard work, respect, and compassion for his patients. Dr. Vafaie completed a prestigious seven-year BA/MD program at The George Washington University School of Medicine in 2003. She then pursued her internship, residency and fellowship at UC Irvine, NYMC, and UMDNJ. Dr. Vafaie has been practicing dermatology in Westwood/Beverly Hills, and Malibu and since 2008. Dr Vafaie was an assistant professor at one time, but now focuses on private practice as a board-certified dermatologist . She travels nationwide lecturing on acne and eczema. She is known as a regional expert in acne and hyperhidrosis for research and development. She is well published in various scientific journals and books.
