About Jane Adler, Tattoo Specialist
I began my official tattooing path in 1994; however, I had started my research years prior. I have spent endless hours mastering my cosmetic tattooing craft and years filling my brain with knowledge. After five years in, I thought I should teach. Not for the money but to share the gift I was given for symmetry and color, etc. I hung that up years later and I realized I cannot endorse or teach folks that lack ambition, dedication, natural ability, common sense and sound ethics. So I do what I love full time and then with a helping hand from Heather Alvin (my hero), I started my apprenticeship for traditional tattooing many moons ago. Along the way I have been given many lessons from Heather Alvin, Johnny Baldero, Levi Smith, Mark Walters, Chris Parrish, Guy Aitchison and Greg & Susan Alexander, and too many to list. Ohhhhhhhhhhh Alexis Lawson for sure my cosmetic tattoo mentor!!!! Now I sit here being thrilled that after an absence from, traditional tattooing I am back part time at The Jade Monkey regaining my strength, courage and art form. As a full time cosmetic tattooer adding body tattooing is just a fab dream come true. I also have chosen to tattoo mainly women. Seems to be my stronger suit. I also have spent many many years learning all I could about OSHA and Blood Borne Pathogen Standard and still teach an occasion annual seminar for a few local shops. I have written many articles on cosmetic tattooing and am pondering a book. I am also honored to help moderate two tattoo message board. One each for Hyperspace Studios (www.hyperspacestudios.com) and SofTap (www.softaps.com). Cool stuff. I have spoken at many conventions and I guess people like it.
