About James Roland, DDS
Dr. James Roland is from Buffalo, NY and graduated with his Biology degree from Canisius College. He then received his dental degree at the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Roland continued his training through an advanced general practice residency position at Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo, NY where he worked in the Dental and Maxillofacial Prosthetic Department. This unique opportunity provided experiences in all facets of dentistry involving complex surgical and restorative cases. This department also provided the opportunity to learn how to treat patients’ dental needs while receiving chemotherapy and radiation therapy and also incorporated diagnostic skills to detect various forms of oral cancer in the early stages. Upon completion, Dr Roland received a certification in Dental Oncology. Dr. Roland enjoys all aspects of dentistry with a focus around communicating options to his patients. He believes that dentistry is ultimately an investment in yourself that is meant to improve your short term and long term oral care. We pride ourselves on informing our patients of their dental needs and giving them solutions that allow them to achieve their goals and excellent health. Dr. Roland and his wife, Renee, reside in Pittsford with their two sons, Carter and Davis. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Roland enjoys traveling, playing paddle tennis, golf and cheering on his Buffalo Bills
