About Jacqueline Olivo, MD
Dr. Jacqueline Olivo was born in Trujillo, Peru. The 5th of twelve children, she knew from an early age that she enjoyed science and helping people in need. At the age of 17, she enrolled at the University of San Luis Gonzaga, in the city of Ica, where she earned her medical degree with honors. Her first practice was at the Hospital Dos de Mayo in Lima, where she helped poor Peruvians gain access to crucial health care services. She was later awarded a medical scholarship to continue her studies in Barcelona, Spain. She completed her residency in Neurosurgery at El Clínico de Barcelona Hospital in 1994 before coming to the United States to continue her residency at St. Francis Hospital in Chicago, where she provided medical assistance to poor families in the community. A year later, she transferred to the University of Illinois where she completed her residency in Family Medicine in 2005. She is Board Certified with the American Board of Aesthetic Medicine. Dr. Olivo became an attending physician at Michael Reese Hospital, practicing OB/GYN and family medicine in the South Side of Chicago. She moved to her new clinic to start her own practice on Fullerton Street, followed by a second practice on Clybourn Avenue. Today, she continues to serve her community by providing affordable health care. Her professional affiliations include: Swedish Covenant Hospital, St. Mary’s Hospital, Illinois Masonic Hospital, and UIC Hospital.
