About Jack Chan, DDS
Raised on the island of Guam since the age of three, I enjoyed island living until moving to Los Angeles to attend the University of Southern California. I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Sciences in 1996 with an emphasis on Marine Biology and a Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) in 2001. I established my own practice in Oceanside, California building it from the ground up in 2005. While building California Coast Dental Arts, I became a part-time faculty member at USC’s Dental School teaching restorative techniques to prepare the dental students to work in a clinical environment. Although I enjoyed teaching and explaining the logic behind techniques and procedures to dental students; our triplets, a growing practice and the commute prevented me from continuing. However, I have been able to perform free dental screenings on behalf of the Oceanside Unified School District since 2008. I have been voted one of San Diego’s Top Dentists by San Diego Magazine in 2005, 2007-2019. My philosophy in life is simple: Leave the world a better place than you found it…in my case, one smiling person at a time.
