About Helen M. D'Sa, DO
I am a Board Certified Dermatologist specializing in general medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology. I was drawn to the field of dermatology because I found it fascinating how the skin serves as a window to the inner body. Often, I can diagnose liver, kidney, blood and other organ diseases through clues found on the surface of the skin. In addition, the field of dermatology provides an artistic outlet that appeals to my creative side. Using various modalities, I am able to recreate a youthful appearance to the skin, which helps my patients look their best at any age. As a medical dermatologist, I have a special interest in hair loss; psoriasis; eczema; skin cancer detection, treatment and prevention; and dermatoses found in people of color. As a cosmetic dermatologist, I am proficient in various techniques that help to tighten and rejuvenate the skin, including Botox, fillers and laser treatments. Therefore, I am able to make my patients look more relaxed and radiant without causing drastic changes to their appearance. I strive to provide quality care for my patients, and I believe this is best accomplished when the patient and doctor work in collaboration. While I have the medical knowledge obtained from medical school and my residency, I believe every patient knows themselves best and is their own best advocate. I carefully listen to the concerns of my patients and provide education on the diagnosis and the various treatment options available to them. Then, I work as a team with each patient to formulate a unique treatment plan tailored to the patient’s individual needs.
