About George T. Goffas, MD
Dr. Goffas has over fifteen years of experience in cosmetic surgery. He is the Director of the nationally recognized and accredited Cosmetic Surgeons of Michigan, P.C. Graduating from the University of Michigan with honors, he attended medical school at New York Medical College in New York. He completed surgical training at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Lenox Hill Hospital in New York, New York. Additional fellowship training in cosmetic surgery was completed in Texas, with renowned cosmetic surgeon, Dr. Howard Tobin. This lead to board certification by the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery. Dr. Goffas then began private practice and became partners with Dr. Steve Tsangalias, a respected plastic surgeon, in Grosse Pointe, Michigan. He is on staff at William Beaumont Hospital and the St. John Hospital/Medical Center where he enjoys privileges in cosmetic surgery of the face and body. Additionally, he is the Surgical Director of Cosmetic Surgeons of Michigan, a AAAHC-Accredited Surgical Center. This allows him to perform cosmetic surgery in the safety, convenience, affordability and confidentiality of a private surgical facility. Dr. Goffas is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Oakland University/William Beaumont School of Medicine. He has authored several scientific papers in the medical and surgical literature. Additionally, he has written chapters on Facelifting in several medical textbooks. He has also been a frequent lecturer and teacher in cosmetic surgery, on a national level. Over the years, Dr. Goffas has also provided humanitarian surgical services for the poor. His association with the Healing the Children Program has helped provide care for the poor and underprivileged children throughout the world. Dr. Goffas’ education and training combined with his kind and caring nature creates a positive balance between the clinical and personal aspects of surgery and patient care.
