About Fiorella Potesta-Knoll, DDS
Dr. Fiorella Potesta-Knoll is a top-rated dentist and prosthodontist in the San Francisco, CA, region, offering patients a broad array of state-of-the-art treatment options to help them enjoy optimal oral health and function, including preventive, restorative, cosmetic and rehabilitative procedures. At her practice on Union Street in the heart of San Francisco, Dr. Potesta-Knoll uses the most advanced techniques to perform everything from routine dental exams and cleaning appointments to complex maxillofacial prosthetics procedures, including fillings, immediate dentures, and dental implants. The office is also equipped to handle emergency dental care, including toothaches and lost or broken tooth emergencies. Dr. Potesta-Knoll has extensive experience treating patients of all ages and performing complex oral procedures, including rehabilitative and reconstructive procedures following trauma, cancer treatment, and surgery. Her special interests include removable and fixed prostheses, dental implant restorations, occlusal and TMJ disorders, and restoration of maxillofacial prostheses. After receiving her dental degree, Dr. Potesta-Knoll completed a three-year residency in Advanced Prosthodontics and earned her Master’s degree in Implantology from The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), where she also completed a one-year fellowship program in Maxillofacial Prosthetics. Following her training and education, she joined the faculty in the UAB School of Dentistry Department of Prosthodontics. Before setting up her practice in California, Dr. Potesta-Knoll was on the staff of the prestigious MD Anderson Cancer Center in Orlando, Florida. In addition to her private practice, Dr. Potesta-Knoll is a clinical instructor at University of the Pacific Arthur Dugoni School of Dentistry in the Department of Removable Prosthodontics. Dr. Potesta-Knoll is board-eligible for the American Board of Prosthodontics, and is a member of the American College of Prosthodontists, the American Dental Association, the International Academy of Maxillofacial Prosthetics, and the San Francisco Dental Society.
