About Fernando D. Presser, DMD
Dr. Presser is a prosthodontist and periodontist who specializes in esthetic reconstructive dentistry, gum disease prevention and treatment, and dental implant placement and restoration. His specialties required an additional three years of training after graduating Summa Cum Laude from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. While at dental school, he received several awards, including the E. Howell Smith Award for outstanding achievement and proficiency in prosthetic dentistry, and the Henry B. Robinson Award for the highest proficiency in all phases of clinical dentistry. Dr. Presser was also granted membership in two of the most prestigious honorary dental societies: the Omicron Kappa Upsilon and the Pierre Fauchard Academy. The doctor lectures nationally and has authored several scientific papers, one of which was published in Science magazine. Dr. Presser is a member of national and international dental societies, and he serves on the faculty at the University of Pennsylvania as a clinical assistant professor. Prior to dental school, Dr. Presser studied fine arts, and he still paints and sculpts in his spare time. The doctor also enjoys cooking, baking artisan breads, reading, and listening to classical music.
