About Eric F. Ruiz, DDS
Dr. Ruiz was born in Guatemala and grew up in Los Angeles, New Britain, Connecticut, and Miami. He received his DDS degree in 2004 followed by three years of additional training at the University of Connecticut School Of Dental Medicine as a resident and clinical fellow in the Advanced Education in General Dentistry program. Dr. Ruiz then joined his father’s Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery practice for a year focusing on dental implants. Following this, he returned to the University of Connecticut as a Clinical Assistant Professor, he served as the director of the Advanced Education in General Dentistry program for seven years. During that time, Dr. Ruiz treated patients with University Dentists. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Connecticut State Dental Association, Hartford Dental Society, and Academy of General Dentistry. During his residency training, he met his wife, Meghan, an orthodontist. They currently reside in Farmington with their three children, and enjoy hiking the Farmington River trail. Dr. Ruiz enjoys golf, doing his own home renovations, and spending time with family.
