About Eric Hartvigsen, DDS
Dr. Eric Hartvigsen grew up on a farm in Southeastern Idaho. His love for the outdoors and farming has continued to grow over the years, even today, Dr. Hartvigsen (or Farmer Hartvigsen) spends part of each summer month with his two brothers driving a tractor and working to maintain the original homestead owned by his great-grandfather. Dr. Eric Hartvigsen earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from Northwestern University in Chicago. He also earned two undergraduate degrees from the University of Utah in Biology and Pharmacy. After receiving his DDS degree from Northwestern, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and spent 3 years in Germany before requesting his next assignment to be at Ft. Huachuca to check out southern Arizona. He loved the Arizona climate and lifestyle so much he decided to transfer from active duty to an Army Hospital Reserve Unit to continue to serve the country and at the same time start his private dental practice in Tucson. Dr. Hartvigsen and his wife have 3 children and 7 grandchildren. He is a devoted family man who knows that families are forever and family brings the greatest joy and a lot of laughs into life. Dr. Hartvigsen has a strong interest in Family History and Genealogy and if you’re interested he’ll help you look into yours while you are waiting for your tooth to get “numbed up”. Dr. Hartvigsen is a member of the American Dental Association and it’s affiliates in the State of Arizona. He is also a member of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences and the American Society of Forensic Odontology. Dr. Hartvigsen knows the importance that good oral health has on one’s overall general health. Dr. Hartvigsen has the goal to educate and motivate each patient to practice good oral health. Our office provides general, cosmetic, restorative and preventive dental care for the entire family which can include Invisalign orthodontics if needed.
