About Emanuel Kontos, DMD
Dr. Emanuel Kontos was born and raised in Tarpon Springs, Florida. At the age of 12, he had severe tooth pain and subsequently required a root canal and a crown procedure. It was from that experience that he became fascinated with the art of dentistry. He realized and was determined at a very young age that he would pursue his dream of becoming a dentist. He wanted to help people with their dental needs; he knew his approach was to be one of compassion and understanding of his patient's needs. The ability to eliminate severe excruciating pain in someone and to create an everlasting smile of confidence for his patients, this has become a lifelong goal. Dr. Emanuel Kontos attended the University of South Florida where he studied courses in chemical engineering, biomedical engineering in addition to receiving his Bachelors of Science in Interdisciplinary Health Sciences. Dr. Kontos received his Doctorate from Nova Southeastern University where he graduated at the top of his class and was elected to the National Dental Honor Society (OKU). With a gentle touch and an eye for aesthetic perfection, he continues to advance the art of dentistry through learning from the best instructors in the world above and beyond what is required for state licensure. Dr. Kontos has completed advanced level training from Stupp Postgraduate School of Dentistry, The Dawson Center, Pikos Implant Institute and The Kois Center where he is on track to become a mentor for dentists seeking advanced education. Dr. Emanuel Kontos serves on the Pinnacle Study Club Advisory Board and is Vice President of the Upper Pinellas County Dental Association.
