About Elzbieta W. Basil, DMD
I have two degrees in Dental Medicine from leading dental schools in both Poland, Medical University of Bialystok (Uniwersytet Medyczny w Białymstoku (MD in Stomatology, 1989), and University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine (Doctor of Medical Dentistry, 1998). Since 2005 I have proudly served as a Clinical Instructor of Dentistry at the UCONN School of Dental Medicine. I am fluent in English, Polish and Russian. All of my staff is, too. We also have working proficiency in Slovak, Czech and Ukrainian. While a large percentage of my patients are not Polish, as a native of Poland, I maintain strong ties to the Polish community and Little Poland in New Britain. I have offices that are conveniently located to major roads in both West Hartford Center and Downtown New Britain. Both locations have ample, free, off-street parking for patients. I am a long-standing member of the American Dental Association, the Connecticut State Dental Association,and the Hartford Dental Society. I have been honored with awards from the Academy of Operative Dentistry for outstanding achievement in operative dentistry, the American Association of Endodontists, for outstanding achievement in endodontic therapy, and the Academy of Dental Materials for excellence in dental materials science. I was also awarded ""Best Dentist"" in the CTNOW Best of Hartford Reader's Poll in multiple years (I am currently the reigning Best Dentist); named a ""Top Dentist"" by the IAD, where I am listed in THE LEADING PHYSICIANS OF THE WORLD (Dentist Section); and received the OpenSource ""Patient's Choice Award,"" among others. After graduating, I continued to seek advanced training every year, especially in the fields of cosmetic dentistry, endodontics, implantology. I am accredited in 3 dental implant systems as well as 2 different invisible orthodontic treatments, and one very fast one-wire orthodontic system. In fact, I have 26 advanced certifications, overall.
