About Eileen Q. Trokhan, MD
Dr. Eileen Q. Trokhan is a Board Certified Dermatologist and specializes in cosmetic and medical dermatology, offering services such as BOTOX® injections, wrinkle fillers, lip enhancement, peels, skin tag removal and skin excisions. She graduated from Princeton University, where she was a member of the Varsity swim team. She conducted research with the department of Molecular Biology, and wrote her senior thesis on the function of specific receptors in the immune response. She completed her residency in dermatology at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine and served as Chief Resident her final year. She had previously received her medical degree with Alpha Omega Alpha honors from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, and completed her medical internship at University Hospitals in Cleveland, Ohio, part of Case Western Reserve University. Dr. Trokhan also has extensive research experience in the protective effects of antioxidants. One of her widely recognized works with genistein on inhibiting the cancer causing effects of UVA, which she presented at an American Academy of Dermatology national meeting, is currently under review by the USPTO for a patent. Dr. Trokhan has spoken at conferences nationally, and has been cited by several journal articles and newsletters for her work on genistein. Dr. Trokhan has published or presented more than 20 clinical research and case report abstracts at various medical conferences and in journals. She regularly attends American Academy of Dermatology conferences and other dermatology meetings. Dr. Trokhan is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery and is an active member of the American Medical Association, NJ Physicians, and the Medical Society of the State of New York.
