About Douglas M. Hope, DMD
Dr. Hope has been in practice since 1982 after Graduating from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. During Dental School he earned the Student Clinician award for research in dentistry and represented UCONN at the national Dental Convention. Upon graduation, he was awarded the Senior Student award and Operative Dentistry Award. Dr. Hope believes education is an ongoing process and should continue through life. He worked to attain his fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry. More recently, after over 1000 hours of clinical practice, he was awarded the prestigious Masters in Academy of General Dentistry. He also has studied at The Dawson Institute for Advanced Study. He has completed several cosmetic dentistry courses with Dr. Frank Spear. He is currently an associate clinical professor at the UCONN School of Dental Medicine. He is a member of the American Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, Connecticut Dental Society, Hartford Dental Society and SCADA. He is certified in CEREC.
