About Dennis Newton, MD
Dr. Dennis Newton is a well respected memeber of the dermatology community, who has garnered numerous local, state and national awards including, ""Best Doctors in America"", ""Texas Super Docs"", and ""Best Doctors in Dallas"". He practices general and surgical dermatology. From Houston, Texas, Dr. Newton attended Texas A&M University where he received his B.S. in Zoology. He then attended medical school at University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, Texas and obtained his dermatology residency training at Naval Hospital, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Newton served as chief of the dermatology service at Naval Hospital in Millington, Tennessee before moving home to Texas and entering private practice at RHD Medical Center. He joined Dr. Lyde in Lewisville in 2005. He has taught dermatology residents at Parkland clinics since 1975, where he has received several teaching awards. His leadership abilities are evidenced by the many committee membership appointments, board memberships and elected positions in medical societies, including past president of the Texas Dermatological Society and the Dallas Dermatological Society. Dr. Newton also donates his time and talent to several charitable organizations, including Project Access, the D-Tag tattoo removal program and the Denton State hospital clinic. Dr. Newton and his wife have three children and three adorable grandchildren.
