About David R. Turok, DDS
Originally from Cape Town, South Africa, Dr. Turok grew up in Virginia Beach, Virginia. He received his Undergraduate degree at the University of Virginia and his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry. Dr. Turok then completed a post-graduate degree at the University of Florida where he received comprehensive training in advanced cosmetic and restorative dentistry, surgical implant placement and implant restoration. Dr. Turok has completed extensive Continuing Education programs on cutting edge dental technologies, including courses at the Dawson Academy, Pankey Institute, Spear Education, The American Academy of Implant Dentistry and Invisalign training. Additional focuses have included Facially-Generated Cosmetic Treatment Planning and Dental Sleep Medicine in treatment of Sleep Apnea and Snoring. Dr. Turok is a member of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine and serves as The Clinical Director of Dental Sleep Medicine at the practice. Outside of the dental office, Dr. Turok gives back to the community through various dental outreach programs, including Special Olympics, Dental Access Days, and Team Smile- where every year he links with the Chicago Bears to provide free dentistry for children in need. He enjoys all sports, including golf, squash, soccer, snowboarding and platform tennis, is an artist, and loves spending time with his ever growing family.
