About David D. Mayer, DDS
Dr. Mayer or as many patients refer to him as “Dr. Dave” originally moved to Homewood in 1978. Dr. Mayer graduated from Bloom High School. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1983 from Loyola University of Chicago. In 1987 Dr. Mayer received his D.D.S. degree from the University of Illinois School of Dentistry. After working as an associate for three years, Dr. Mayer opened his own practice in Homewood in1990. In 2007 Dr. Mayer expanded to a larger updated office right next door to meet the needs of his clients. Dr. Mayer is a member of the American Dental Association, the Illinois State Dental Society, and the Chicago Dental Society. Dr. Mayer has attended continuing education courses at the prestigious and nationally respected Pankey Institute and Dawson Academy which focuses on the Concept of Complete Dentistry. In addition, Dr. Mayer has taken continuing education in implants, crowns and veneers, esthetic fillings, anesthesia, infection control and more. Dr. Mayer was a long time member of the Homewood Flossmoor High School Board of Education. He is a member of Flossmoor Community Church. Dr. Mayer has lived in Flossmoor since 1991. He is married to his college sweetheart, Rosemary since 1985. They have three daughters and a black lab named Sophie.
