About David Lee, MD
I grew up in Chicago and completed my undergraduate studies at Duke University in North Carolina. During college, I was drawn to a career in medicine because it allowed me to pursue my academic interests while directly helping people in need. After college, I returned to Chicago for medical school, where I developed an interest in dermatology while researching inflammatory skin diseases and working with dermatologists in the clinic. Through these experiences, I saw the profound impact that treating a person’s skin could have on their well-being and quality of life. After medical school, I completed an internship in internal medicine in New York City and dermatology residency at the University of Southern California where I served as Chief Resident. Prior to joining Kaiser Permanente, I was an assistant professor of dermatology at the University of Southern California and the Los Angeles County Medical Center. My clinical expertise is broad and includes the diagnosis and treatment of complex medical skin diseases, high risk skin cancers, dermatologic surgery, and cosmetic dermatology. I am dedicated to providing the most up-to-date medical care and to meeting the unique needs of each patient. I believe that open dialogue with my patients is essential to providing the highest quality of care. Outside of the clinic, I enjoy spending time with family, traveling, watching/playing sports, and trying new cuisines.
