About Dallas L. Pulliam, DMD
Quality oral healthcare is based around conservative treatment, honest patient communication, and plenty of attention to detail. Dr. Pulliam has committed himself to improving smiles for over 35 years now, most of which were spent right here at Wayne Family Dentistry. To learn more about his background and interests, keep reading below: Before becoming a dentist, Dr. Pulliam earned his PhD in Anatomy and Physiology at Columbia University, and taught medical school. However, he truly wanted to work in a profession where he could use his hands, his knowledge, and his sense of artistry more directly. His brother always talked about he loved being a dentist as well, which eventually inspired him to enter the field. Today, Dr. Pulliam loves so many parts of his dentistry, including interacting with patients, working alongside his coworkers, and being able to make every day a positive and fulfilling experience. He particularly enjoys cosmetic dentistry because of its artistic angle! Dr. Pulliam completed his undergraduate education at Tufts University before attending the University of Pennsylvania Dental School in 1984, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine. Ever since he first started practicing professionally, he also made every effort to stay up-to-date with the latest trends in the dental field by attending continuing education courses. He loves to keep learning and updating his skills over time! Through DKU (Dentists Keeping Up), he has studied a wide variety of dental specialties. He is currently a member of the American Dental Association, Pennsylvania Dental Association, and the 2nd District Dental Society. Additionally, Dr. Pulliam was directly involved in the creation of a free dental clinic in Chester, PA. It’s a very low-income area where residents receive very little dental care, and he is proud to regularly perform important care (mostly oral surgery) there for those in need. Outside of the Practice, What Do You Like to Do? Dr. Pulliam and his wife have five children and a whopping 12 grandchildren who participate in all sorts of extracurricular activities, including soccer, gymnastics, ballet, baton, and more. When he isn’t busy with work, his hobbies include playing golf as a part of St. Davids Golf Club, woodworking, and curling up with a good book. He also greatly enjoys traveling – he and his loved ones just took a big trip to the Jersey Shore!
