About Cory Logan, DDS
Dr. Logan's family moved all over the world before leaving Norway and settling on the Texas Gulf Coast. He grew up in a small Texas town not far from Houston. His interest in dentistry started at a young age. Like many of us, he was a ""bad kid"" that ate candy and reaped the cavities that came with not brushing and flossing. After having both good and bad experiences in the dental setting he came to see how dentistry had changed his life for the better and how he could help others similarly. Besides the cavities that seemed to appear at every dental visit, Dr. Logan never smiled. His teeth were very crooked. He was the first in his family to experience braces (orthodontics) and it changed his life. Before braces he would not smile, however, afterwards he was all grins. He geared his studies towards dental school and finished his B.S. in Biomedical Science at Texas A&M. He was accepted and started his dental studies at the University of Texas School of Dentistry. After completing his DDS degree, he completed a one year residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry. He opened his private practice in 2002 near downtown Houston. Dr. Logan has fostered a sense of community by working in a homeless shelter, underserved community center and an HIV dental clinic. Lately, he has focused his time on building his Practice and seeking opportunities for overseas charitable work. Dr. Logan believes that dental care should be comprehensive in that patients are informed and understand any and all conditions that they may have present. This makes patients aware of any conditions so they can plan better. The staff and Dr. Logan view their patients as friends and serve as their trusted advisors. The Practice is relaxed and we try to convey that feeling to our patients to allay any fears they may have about dentistry.
