About Christopher W. Read, DDS
A native of Austin, Texas, Dr. Christopher Read is a graduate of Henderson State University where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, and was a four-year National All-American swimmer. Dr. Read received his dental degree from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas where he was given numerous awards in cosmetic dentistry with a focus in prosthodontics. He was the recipient of the prestigious American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry Award. Dr. Read is a member of the American Dental Association, and was trained under both OCO Biomedical, and Zimmer Dental Division in advanced dental implants. Dr. Read is also a certified provider in Lumineers, Six Month Ortho, and Invisalign. Dr. Read met his wife, Tara, in summer league swim team in middle school. They were married in June of 2005. He and his wife have four outgoing children: Emma born 2008, Owen born 2011, Eli born 2013, and Austin born 2014! He and his family are members of their local church, Houston’s First Baptist, where they serve as small group leaders of their Life Bible Study “Saved 2 Serve”. Dr. Read is also involved in an ongoing local mission called Men:Serve; which mobilizes teams of men throughout Houston to serve widows. A sports fan, Dr. Read follows the University of Texas football team and is a die-hard Longhorn. He enjoys spending time with his family, cycling, kayak fishing, and bee keeping.
